Addressable zone-monitoring unit from the QUAD ZMU series designed to interface a single conventional detection zone (current-limited) within a dual-gang mounting box, for use with addressable fire alarm control panels.

Main Features:

• Addressable loop supply voltage: 20 V to 30 V DC; loop current approx. 1.6 mA
• External conventional zone supply: nominal 24 V DC (separate feed) with full supervision of output zone including open-circuit and short-circuit monitoring.
• Active end-of-line options: each zone monitored for active EOL (capacitor) or resistive EOL; setting via DIP switch 8.
• Maximum of 32 conventional devices per zone; zone quiescent current max ~9 mA under typical conditions.
• Operating temperature: ?10 °C to +50 °C; Humidity: up to 95% RH (non-condensing).
• Dimensions: 150 mm (W) × 90 mm (L) × 32 mm (H); Weight: ~220 g boxed.
• Dual-gang box format for mounting with a standard UK/European dual-gang back box for neat installation of one monitored zone.
• Fully compatible with GFE addressable control panels and supports simple configuration using DIP-switches for address and zone count.

Notes:

• Set the device address using the 8-way DIP switch (switches 1-7 for address, switch 8 for EOL type).
• When installing, ensure conventional zone wiring is correctly polarity-protected where required and that EOL component matches chosen type (capacitor or resistor).
• The external 24 V supply for the conventional zone must be capable of powering the connected devices and the supervision circuitry.
• Professional installation is recommended to ensure compliance with EN54-18 (for interface modules) and EN54-13 system requirements.
